BACKFLOW Every year, Budalang’i, Busia County experiences displacements caused by heavy downpours and backflows. A phenomenon observable from around the 80s and 90s , the latter is linked to increased water levels. This happens when a dam, watercourse or flooded rivers- channel huge volumes of water into Lake Victoria thus causing an overwhelming spill onto its shores.
